Sporting an oversized top hat fitted with questionable mechanical attachments, Chadwick frequently assures audiences (and startled stagehands) that sparks, smoke, and minor explosions are all essential components of his creative genius. His wardrobe—part Victorian gentleman, part mad engineer—is rumored to be held together by hope, duct tape, and optimism. Offstage, Chadwick can usually be found attempting to electrify household objects or explaining enthusiastically how his latest gadget “almost” works, all while casually ignoring the scorch marks left behind.
